Children's Pottery Class Schedule 2010

The KC Clay Guild offers wheel throwing and hand building classes for children age 5 to 17 on Saturday morning.

Elly Biggerstaff has been teaching children how to make things out of clay for over 4 years. She will show your child how to use hand building or wheel throwing techniques to make pottery. If your child wants to sculpt or make other forms of ceramic art, she can teach that also.

Children who have taken our pottery classes have made everything from bowls, mugs, and vases to sculptures and other creative things. One student made clay pendants that she could wear and share with her friends. Another student sculpted all the characters from his favorite video game. All it takes is a little know-how and a lot of imagination. We teach them the know-how. They supply the imagination!
