Kiln Building Class

Our Studio Coordinator, Louis Reilly will be leading the construction of down-draft gas kiln Summer of 2016. The class will meet on Sundays from 12-5.

The class will be exposed to all facets of kiln building:

-Design and Theory

-Building an arch form

-Constructing the kiln

-Welding

-Fabricating a hinged door

-Building and installing forced air burners

-Firing

Students will be able to assist outside of class time on the kiln construction as their schedules allow.

The class will fire the kiln at the end of the class.
