Raku Firing Class

3 weeks, 4 hours (10/29, 11/5, and 11/12 from 1-5 PM)

Participants will learn how to set up a Raku kiln, fire and take down.  Participants need to bring 3-4 medium-sized bisqued pieces to each class. (No bottles or lidded forms please.) Class discussions will also include the following topics: clay bodies, Raku glazes, varieties of combustible materials, and Raku kilns.It is suggested participants have taken at least one prior 4-week session of hand building or throwing prior to enrollment.
