2018 Raku Firing Class Instructor: Brian Klapmeyer 2 weekends, 4 hours (11/3 & 11/4, and 11/17 & 11/18 from 1-5 PM) Members: $135, non-members: $170 Participants will learn how to set up a Raku kiln, fire and take down. Participants need to bring 6-8 medium-sized bisqued pieces to each class. (No bottles or lidded forms please.) Class discussions will also include the following topics: clay bodies, Raku glazes, varieties of combustible materials, and Raku kilns.It is suggested participants have taken at least one prior 4-week session of hand building or throwing prior to enrollment.
