Hands on Handles

An immersive 6-week workshop with Mathew Meunier

I love talking pots.  But as we all know, the only way to get comfortable doing anything is to do it.  A lot.  In this immersive workshop, we're going to make a lot of pots so that we can make a lot of handles with the goal of finding a new level of ease and fluidity in handle making.  Forms to be made will include mugs (obviously!), bowls, pitchers and teapots, and from the perspective of handles, we'll address topics such as comfort, volume, proportion and functionality.  The end result will be a new level of proficiency and a critical lens that can be carried forward into your own studio practice.

Wheel throwers and hand builders are welcome. Open to intermediate-to-advanced level attendees.
