KC Clay Guild is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. 200 West 74th Street, Kansas City, MO 64114
This casual 3 hour class offers students the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of handbuilding with coils by constructing a planter.
Do your coils always crack apart as you make a vessel? Join Mike Cerv as he discusses how to construct a strong and split-free planter by compiling and pinching coils. We will cover: how to roll a long and even coil, build effectively, make a plant condusive planter, and more!
This class will only cover the wet clay portion of making a planter. Students will be responsible for returning to glaze their pot on their own time, and can do so at no additional charge.
The workshop is open to adults of all skill levels. Students are welcome to bring food and beverages to enjoy during the class. This class will require at least 5 participants. If this threshold is not met, the class will be canceled and money will be refunded.
Please be sure to remain subscribed to our emails so that you don't miss any important communications about this class.
We require 5 business days notice for a cancellation with full refund.
