2026 Youth Summer Classes
We offer week long youth summer classes in wheel throwing and handbuilding during the month of June.
Wheel throwing is appropriate for kids ages 8-13.
Handbuilding is appropriate for kids ages 6-13.

Registration this year will look a little different as we shift to a new website and registration system. Please give yourself a little extra time to learn how to system works and reach out to edco@kcclayguild.org if you have any questions.
Students may take only one handbuilding class and one wheel throwing class per Summer.
Class sizes are capped at 8 students to ensure the best teacher/student ratio.
We can not offer makeup classes; try to avoid signing your kids up for a class if they will not be able to attend all 5 days.
Kids must attend the same class time each day. For example, if they are signed up for "Week one, Session 2, Handbuilding" they must attend that class time each day.
We can no longer allow students to stay in the building between classes - a student could take both wheel throwing and handbuilding in the same week, but the student would need to be picked up between classes.
If your child has any specific needs or accommodations please reach out to us ahead of time.
Wheel throwing is open to children 8-13, handbuilding is open to children 6-13.
Classes are $100 for members and $120 for non-members.

We offer 3 wheel throwing and 3 handbuilding each week.
Classes are 1.5 hours; a slightly shorter class is typically better for younger students.
Week 1: June 2-6
Week 2: June 9-13
Week 3: June 17-20
Week4: June 23-27
Wheel Throwing or Handbuilding Session 1: 8:30am-10am
Wheel Throwing or Handbuilding Session 2: 10:30am-12pm
Wheel Throwing or Handbuilding Session 3: 1pm-2:30pm

Per 5 class session: $100 for members, $120 for non-members.
The class fee includes 5 classes, clay, usage of tools, glazes, and firing.
When registering, be sure to add your child as a household member under your profile and fill out all their contact details. Tickets can only be assigned to children of the appropriate age.
The class fee is due at the time of registration.
Refunds are available with 7 days notice before the first class of the session.
